Mothercare Preparatory School - Nalumunye
Primary School · Day
Mothercare Preparatory School Nalumunye is the second campus of Mothercare Preparatory Schools. It opened in 2011 as a branch of the original school at Bunamwaya, which began in 1992 as a small nursery school. The Nalumunye campus teaches pupils from pre-primary up to Primary Seven, on a campus with spacious classrooms and playgrounds. It sits on Nalumunye Road, about 400 metres from Lebron Supermarket on the left after Jomayi Mosque. The schools follow the Uganda National Curriculum, with extra activities aimed at developing the whole child and a focus on technology, morals and values. Mothercare calls itself a community school with values based on Christian principles. Its stated goals include quality education close to the community, self-discipline, helping children develop their talents, and giving children from poor backgrounds access to good schooling. Across the Mothercare schools, pupils can join activities such as soccer, netball, ballet, scouts and guides, a brass band, swimming, and clubs for maths, French, debating, cookery and the environment. The Nalumunye head teacher describes a dedicated staff that works closely with parents, and parents are encouraged to come into school to discuss any concerns.
